In short: Linester works on your iPhone or iPad. Your scripts, your voice and your rehearsal notes stay there. We don't collect personal information, there are no accounts, and there's no advertising or tracking. The only time anything reaches us is if you choose to email us for help.
Your scripts
When you upload a script, Linester reads it on your device and keeps it, with the lines it makes and any changes you make, in the app's own storage on that device. Scripts are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Deleting a script in the app deletes it, with its edits and notes, from your device.
Your voice
While you rehearse, Linester uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition, which runs on your device, to follow along with your lines. What you say is turned into words on your device and used only to follow your rehearsal. Your voice isn't recorded or stored, and it isn't sent to us. Cue lines are spoken by your device's built-in voices.
What we collect
Nothing, in normal use. Linester has no accounts, sign-in, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and it doesn't share data with anyone.
If you ask for help
If you tap Get help, Linester prepares an email for you to send. It contains what you write, the app's version and your device type and system version, and, only if you choose to include it, a copy of the script (the PDF, what your device read from it, and your changes to it). You can review the email before sending it.
We use what you send only to answer you and to make Linester read that script, and others like it, correctly. We don't share it, and we delete the script once your request is resolved. Please only send a script you're allowed to share for this purpose.
Exporting scripts
When you export scripts to move them to another device, Linester makes a file on your device. You decide where it goes (AirDrop, Messages, Files…). It doesn't pass through us.
Purchases
Any purchases or subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't receive your payment details.
Children
Linester isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. If a change affects what happens to your information, we'll say so in the app before it applies.
